Property Accountant

Review and analyze financial statements prepared by third-party property managers and record corresponding journal entries in the company’s books
Reconcile third-party financial statements to internal records and review variance analyses provided by external managers
Support the monthly close process, including recording accruals
Prepare state sales tax returns
Perform monthly cash and escrow account reconciliations
Analyze intercompany and related‑party transactions, prepare supporting reconciliations, and record complex intercompany journal entries
Prepare balance sheet and income statement variance analyses; reconcile bank accounts, escrow accounts, tenant receivables, and other balance sheet accounts
Reconcile annual pass‑through expenses, comparing actual costs to estimated tenant charges

Company Requirements

3-5 years of relevant experience in a dynamic environment (for a public REIT a plus)

Experience in Property Accounting and Lease Administration a plus

Excellent analytical, problem solving and organization skills

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Ability to work well in a team setting

Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
