Remote or Hybrid (candidates must reside in the Central or Mountain Time Zones). This offers flexibility to work fully remotely or in a hybrid arrangement, including the option to work from a Fisher Phillips office two to three days per week.

Fisher Phillips is seeking an Attorney Recruiting Assistant to support our Associate, Counsel, Law Student, and Virtual Office recruiting efforts. This role is a key part of a high‑performing team responsible for hiring top legal talent across the firm.

You will be directly involved in the day‑to‑day execution of recruiting, supporting lateral hiring, entry‑level recruiting, and the Summer Clerk Program. This is a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment where responsiveness, organization, and follow‑through are essential to success. This role is best suited for someone who is highly organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities at once. You will be expected to stay on top of a high volume of activity, communicate clearly with a range of stakeholders, and consistently follow through without reminders. This position reports to the Midwest Manager of Attorney Recruiting and works closely with recruiting team members and attorneys across multiple offices.

Overview
This role provides administrative and operational support across all phases of the associate, counsel, and law student recruiting lifecycle. You will coordinate interviews, manage candidate data, support recruiting programs, and help ensure consistent and professional experience for candidates and internal stakeholders.

This role plays a significant role in supporting Virtual Office recruitment and lateral hiring across multiple markets. This work requires strong coordination, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a high volume of work with limited oversight.

Key Responsibilities
General Administrative Support

Provide day‑to‑day administrative support to the Midwest recruiting team, including managing calendars, correspondence, and logistics

Coordinate meetings, interviews, and recruiting‑related events across multiple time zones

Prepare reports and respond to ad hoc data requests and surveys

Support team operations and take on additional responsibilities as needed

Lateral and Virtual Office Recruiting

Maintain candidate files and databases, ensuring accuracy and timely updates

Coordinate scheduling and logistics for a high volume of virtual and in‑person interviews

Support onboarding processes for new attorney hires

Prepare evaluation materials and proactively follow up to collect interviewer feedback

Assist in managing the unique demands of Virtual Office recruiting, including coordinating across dispersed candidates, attorneys, and hiring teams

Law Student and Entry‑Level Recruiting

Support law school outreach efforts, including job fairs, panels, and networking events

Assist with On‑Campus Interview (OCI) logistics, including resume packet preparation, interview scheduling, and callback coordination

Provide virtual and on‑site support for recruiting programs and events

Maintain the applicant tracking system and ensure recruiting data is current, accurate, and audit‑ready

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

1–2 years of experience in legal recruiting, professional services, or a corporate environment required

Core Competencies

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with candidates, attorneys, and internal stakeholders

High level of responsiveness and accountability, with a track record of following through on tasks and commitments

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment

Strong attention to detail and organization, with the ability to manage complex scheduling and logistics accurately

Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential and sensitive information

Technical Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe

Experience with applicant tracking systems such as viRecruit or similar platforms

Comfort using standard office technology and virtual meeting tools

Work Style

Proactive and self‑directed, with the ability to take ownership of responsibilities while working collaboratively with a team

Able to operate with urgency and consistently follow through without reminders

Comfortable managing a high volume of work with competing priorities and shifting deadlines

Willingness to work additional hours during peak recruiting periods as needed

We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with profit sharing, 15 days of paid time off (which includes sick leave if applicable according to state law), and 10 paid holidays per benefit year.

Compensation
The hourly range for this position is $24.04 – $29.81. Actual base pay within this range will be determined by several components, including, but not limited to, location, relevant experience, internal equity, skills, qualifications, and other job‑related factors permitted by law.
