Job Description
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special needs? Central Rivers Area Education Agency is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Special Education Support and Data Technician. In this role, you will assist in facilitating the smooth, efficient, and effective operation of Special Education services within Central Rivers AEA by managing systems for IFSP/IEP data and related records. Provide professional, effective support to Special Education staff and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Assist in facilitating the smooth, efficient, and effective operation of the Central Rivers AEA office and its components through an integrated model of service for the agency.
Key Responsibilities
Serve on a Special Education support team to support workflows and systems related to special education data management to ensure an agency-wide system of accurate and timely records.
Supports office coordination, which could include room management, standard technology support, event set-up and tear down, support office-related functions, and other duties as assigned by the office supervisor.
Respond to questions related to Special Education records and IFSP/IEP paperwork processes or direct inquiries to the appropriate staff member.
Accurately manage electronic materials containing confidential and pertinent information related to Special Education.
Support circulation of Special Education equipment, materials, and assessments across AEA boundaries.
Generate and monitor records workflows for various special education records processes.
Support the Special Education team by preparing necessary documentation and data analysis as needed.
Monitor and process Early ACCESS and Special Education referrals and related documentation as needed.
Support Hearing department in scheduling hearing screenings in designated office as needed.
Prepare correspondence with other AEAs, LEAs, and relevant agencies concerning Special Education services.
Support Regional Administrators as assigned in completing daily organizational, clerical, data-entry, planning, finance, and communication tasks.
Generate and monitor fiscal records; such as requisitions, purchase orders, invoice payments, credit card purchases, and the ordering of administrative supplies.
Assist discipline leads/Administrators during the hiring process.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent (advanced schooling preferred).
Two years of experience in an office or educational setting is preferred.
Highly proficient in a variety of technology, including Google Workspace tools.
Appropriate skills for communicating productively with internal staff, parents, and external agencies.
Competency or willingness to learn new technologies and procedures related to Special Education data management.
