
Adjunct Faculty - Maxillofacial Medicine

Primary Purpose
The College of Dental Medicine at Nova Southeastern University is seeking adjunct faculty to assist with the clinical and didactic training of dental students under the direction of the Department Chair of the Department of Maxillofacial Medicine.

Non-Exempt – Hourly
Essential Job Functions
Prepare and deliver instruction to dental students.
Facilitate activities in the classroom, simulation laboratory, clinic, and/or other settings.
Act as a liaison between the students and the faculty course director.
Provide and facilitate examinations; assign grades consistent with course requirements.
Teach or facilitate classes based on varied schedules to accommodate diverse student needs and meet the expectations of the College as assigned by the designated faculty course director.
Follow the course curriculum as assigned.
Prepare assignments.
Evaluate student performance and learning.
Maintain an active classroom environment conducive to student learning and success.
Assess clinical education needs and patient and client teaching needs using a variety of methods.
Demonstrate patient care in clinical units.
Complete NSU mandatory trainings (e.g., HIPAA compliance, technology training, Canvas training).
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Board eligibility or certification in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology, Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, and/or Oral Medicine.
DDS/DMD or foreign equivalent dentistry degree.
Clinical teaching experience from a CODA‑accredited dental school.
