Friedman Law Firm, P.C., a premier Virginia divorce and family law firm based in Chesterfield, Virginia, is seeking a full-time Divorce & Family Law Attorney. This Virginia-licensed associate will join a large, supportive multi-attorney team representing clients in divorce proceedings, child custody disputes, property settlements, and spousal support cases primarily in Chesterfield, Richmond, and Henrico Courts. The role is ideal for a compassionate, organized professional with strong communication skills and a passion for helping clients navigate challenging family law matters.
Responsibilities
Represent clients in divorce and family law cases across Virginia
Prepare for and occasionally appear in trials, focusing largely on settlement negotiations
Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies
Manage case files and court filings efficiently using case management software
Counsel clients with empathy through complex family issues
Collaborate with a team of attorneys and staff to exceed client expectations
Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and agreements
Utilize legal research databases and Microsoft Office tools effectively
Required Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree
Active membership in the Virginia State Bar in good standing
Preferred Qualifications
Three or more years of experience specializing in family law
