ORDER SELECTOR Grocery Warehouse Indian Trail Distribution Center - 1st shift (7am start)
Summary:
Responsible for safely, accurately and efficiently selecting, stacking and wrapping product, within establishment guidelines for shipment to stores. Must ensure that finished pallets are placed in the proper loading area and that records of outed product and daily production are maintained.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Select product ordered using approved methods with a minimum productivity level of 95% of the engineered standards.
Use voice selecting equipment properly.
Stack cases effectively and safely on pallets to insure that product is not damaged.
Convey product from storage area to designated shipping areas.
Sort and place product or items on pallets or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, or product code.
Fill requisitions or requests for stock items.
Shrink wrap product on pallet according to procedure.
Mark products or items with identifying information.
Use computer to enter records.
Perform additional job functions as requested by supervisor or manager.
Follow company's attendance policy by coming to work on time and when scheduled.
Follow company's safety policies and procedures.

Education/Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other associates of the organization.
Math Ability
Ability to add and subtract two‑digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Inventory software; and Internet software systems.
Certificates and Licenses
Ability to successfully pass Industrial Equipment Certification testing on all equipment used to complete this job.

Physical Demands
The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 80 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision and Ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit.
