We are seeking a very detail-oriented and organized Family Law Paralegal who is solutions-driven, comfortable working independently, and who is excited to support family law matters from intake through resolution. To learn more, visit our website: https://barelaw.com.
3 weeks PTO (including the last week of the year) + 5 sick days
A $500/month medical insurance stipend is provided if needed
A monthly cell phone stipend
A professional development budget for obtaining a notary license
A budget to furnish your own office space (a computer is already provided)
Responsibilities
Prepare discovery responses and legal forms by gathering personal details and documentation from clients for attorney review
Coordinate with courts and opposing counsel
Assist with discovery, trial preparation, and legal research
Calendar court dates and attorney consultations
File pleadings and responses, serve documents, and provide proofs of service
Conduct prospective client intake and onboardingTrack and manage own billable hours
Maintain organized electronic client files and case documentation
Requirements
2+ years of experience as a paralegal
Comfortable editing, extracting pages, and annotating within PDFs
Strong client relations and conflict management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable with very occasional after-hours filing
Bonus Experience
Family law experience
Experience with X-Spouse software
