Job Description
Administrative coordinator in an outpatient physical therapy clinic. Responsible for covering the front desk, greeting patients, collecting co‑payments and deductibles, scheduling and facilitating appointments (both in‑person and telehealth), answering phones, and communicating with insurance companies and doctors' offices regarding coordination of benefits, referrals, and authorizations.
Essential Functions
Coordinate with insurance companies and doctors' offices to obtain referrals and authorizations and check patient benefits.
Greet patients, answer phones, schedule and facilitate appointments (in‑person and telehealth), collect patient payments, and scan projects.
Manage medical record inquiries.
Assist in supervision and training of student employees.
Other duties as assigned including claims and patient and insurance billing.
Required Skills
Associate degree with 1 to 3 years of related experience.
Preferred
Bachelor's degree.
1-3 years of administrative experience.
Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.
Able to work independently and accurately with high attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work within a diverse community. Proven communication skills.
Ability to successfully meet deadlines and handle confidential information with discretion.
