Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Litigation Paralegal to support our attorneys in all phases of litigation. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple deadlines, and has hands-on experience with discovery, court filings, and subpoenas. Candidate may also be asked to assist with transactional, non-litigation legal matters as well.
Key Responsibilities
Assist attorneys in all stages of litigation, from case inception through trial
Draft, review, and respond to discovery, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission
Prepare and file legal documents in federal and state courts (including e-filing)
Prepare, issue, and track subpoenas, including coordination of service and compliance
Manage case files, documents, and evidence in an organized and efficient manner
Track deadlines and ensure compliance with court rules and procedures
Conduct legal and factual research
Assist with trial preparation, including exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders
Communicate with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel as needed
Qualifications
Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience required
Minimum 3+ years of litigation experience preferred
Experience responding to discovery
Experience filing in federal and state courtsExperience preparing and managing subpoenas
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently
Proficiency with legal software and e-filing systems; familiarity with Smokeball preferred
