Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Commercial Construction Project Manager
to oversee and manage construction projects from pre-construction through completion. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to manage budgets, schedules, and project teams effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage project budgets, including subcontractor pricing and contracts
Lead project start-up activities ensuring all documentation is in place (insurance, contracts, permits, etc.)
Review and manage project documents, drawings, and specifications
Prepare and manage RFIs and submittals
Coordinate and manage inspections and site logistics
Support development and maintenance of project schedules
Manage change orders, cost tracking, and forecasting
Prepare and submit monthly billing requestsProcess subcontractor and vendor invoices in a timely manner
Ensure compliance with jobsite safety programs and standards
Communicate project updates and elevate major issues to leadership
Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders
Identify and pursue opportunities for future business
Provide leadership and direction to project teams to ensure successful project delivery
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (Required)
Minimum
5+ years
of commercial construction project management experience
Strong knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, and regulations
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Technical Skills
Proficiency in
Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Microsoft Project
Experience with
Bluebeam and Adobe
Knowledge of
Procore
preferred
Familiarity with
AutoDesk Build and Sage 300
is a plus
Additional Requirements
Valid US Driver’s License
Must be willing to relocate to Chico, CA
This is a full-time onsite role (no remote work)
