Assistant Manager, Construction Administration ($91,400 - $121,900)

Position Summary
The Assistant Manager, Contracts & Construction Administration is a key position to support contracts, construction administration and coordination within the Capital Projects department and with external vendors and contractors. This role will analyze how budgets inform construction contracts and pay applications to develop expertise. The Assistant Manager will apply sound reasoning and independent judgement to perform the Key Responsibilities listed below, including tracking project costs within the financial system, and will coordinate with the Construction and Development management teams to ensure process adherence and quality control of project documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Manage commitments into Systems Applications and Products (SAP) for the $100M+ reinvestment and repairs business plan.

Prepare and execute critical legal contract documents through the Sharepoint platform to assure pricing accuracy and internal coding compliance.

Train new Contract Administrators in areas of Contract and Change Order processing using departmental guidelines and procedures.

Audit Certificates of Insurance (COI) submitted by vendors to identify deficiencies and coordinate updated documents to ensure compliance.

Promote cost accountability and financial rigor across all disciplines with both internal and external stakeholders.

Perform quality control reviews of Schedules of Values and Scopes of Work to mitigate financial risk and project delays.

Ensure process adherence by key stakeholders in the Capital Projects team and implement best practices.

Identify and implement procedural efficiencies within departmental protocols.

Additional Skills

Construction industry background is a plus

Demonstrate proficiency in SAP

Preferred Education

Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience)

Preferred Years Of Relevant Work Experience

3+ years

Additional Requirements

Strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills

Demonstrate self-reliance and initiative to achieve daily objectives with minimal supervision

Apply general knowledge of American Institute of Architects (AIA) forms and common construction agreements

Compensation
Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:

Base Pay Range: $91,400.00 - $121,900.00

Actual placement within this range may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
