
GSE Shift Supervisor

SUMMARY
The GSE Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing ground support equipment maintenance operations during an assigned shift. This role ensures safety, productivity, equipment readiness, and quality standards are consistently met while supporting technicians and operational needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities during assigned shifts
Assign and prioritize technician work to meet operational demands
Monitor equipment availability and respond to service needs
Provide leadership, coaching, and performance feedback to team members
Support onboarding and development of technicians
Facilitate shift communication, including pre- and post-shift briefings
Enforce safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements
Conduct routine safety checks and address hazards
Support incident reporting and investigations
Review completed work to ensure quality and accuracy
Ensure proper documentation within CMMS systems
Identify and elevate recurring operational or quality issues
Maintain shift logs, work records, and reports
Coordinate parts and inventory needs
Support overall shop organization and standards
Perform additional duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment
Must possess a valid driver’s license (if required by location)
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a maintenance environment
Working knowledge of GSE or heavy equipment systems
Knowledge of applicable safety regulations and standards
Experience with CMMS systems preferred
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to obtain and maintain any required airport badges or credentials
Must be available to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Pass a background check and drug screen
