Job Position: Industrial Painter Helper
Location: Lakeland, FL 33811
Pay Rate: $17.00/hr
Shift: 1st Shift
Job Duties/Responsibilities
Assist industrial painters in preparing surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming as required.
Mix and prepare paints, coatings, and other materials following specified ratios and guidelines.
Set up and maintain painting equipment, such as spray guns, brushes, rollers, and compressors.
Transport and organize tools, materials, and supplies needed for painting tasks.
Support the team in maintaining a clean and safe work environment by disposing of waste materials and cleaning equipment after use.
Perform basic quality checks on painted surfaces to ensure proper application and adherence to specifications.
Move and position materials, scaffolding, or other equipment necessary for painting tasks.
Follow all safety procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to company safety policies.
Qualifications & Requirements
Familiarity with basic painting tools, equipment, and techniques used in industrial painting.
Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively as part of a team.
Physical ability to perform tasks that may involve lifting, standing, bending, and working in various environments.
Basic understanding of workplace safety practices, including the handling of paints and chemicals.
Strong attention to detail and willingness to assist in ensuring quality standards are met.
Willingness to work in varying conditions, including confined spaces, heights, or outdoor environments.
No formal education requirements; however, a willingness to learn and follow procedures is essential.
