Position
Supervisor of Curriculum & Instruction - ELA grades 6-12
Begins 2026-2027 School Year
Qualifications Required
Master's Degree or higher from an accredited institution.
Valid State of Ohio Administrative License (Supervisor, Administrative Specialist, Principal, or Superintendent) or eligibility for licensure.
Science of Reading credential or training aligned to requirements from the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce.
Demonstrated leadership in curriculum development, instructional coaching, and school improvement.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret student achievement data, including:
Ohio State Test (OST) data
Value-Added growth data
Local benchmark and progress monitoring data
Experience supporting Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and intervention planning.
Demonstrated knowledge of Ohio Learning Standards for English Language Arts (6–12).
Ability to lead data-driven instructional improvement initiatives at the building or district level.
Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
Familiarity with Ohio Department of Education and Workforce standards, policies, and HQIM adoption processes.
Ability to work effectively with teachers, administrators, and district leadership teams.
Successful BCII & FBI background checks.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in secondary literacy and disciplinary literacy.
Experience implementing Science of Reading-aligned instructional practices, including structured literacy strategies.
Experience analyzing:
OST item-level data
Value-Added reports
District literacy performance trends
Experience supporting progress monitoring systems and literacy interventions.
Experience delivering job-embedded professional development.
Experience leading curriculum mapping and vertical alignment (7–12).
Knowledge of:
Writing instruction across content areas
Text complexity and close reading strategies
Vocabulary and comprehension strategies
Experience supporting:
Students with disabilities
English Learners
Diverse learning needs
Demonstrated use of instructional technology and digital literacy tools.
Experience conducting curriculum audits and instructional reviews.
