Job Summary
A seasonal bartender will greet and welcome guests, prepare and stock supplies, manage daily checklists, pour drinks, provide entertainment, inform guests of events, process cash transactions, attend to attendance guidelines, clean the bar area, and perform additional duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
Greets and welcomes all guests in a pleasant and professional manner.
Prepares and stocks supplies and items necessary for guest consumption.
Completes daily, weekly and monthly checklists.
Prepares and pours all types of drinks for customers and cocktail servers upon request.
Provides entertainment for guests through entertainment pouring.
Provides customers with property information on current events, promotions and attractions.
Processes all cash transactions by accepting money, making necessary change accurately and presenting customers with bar receipts.
Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to departmental and company policies.
Cleans bar area, including bar tops, sinks, glasses, refrigerators and other bar appliances.
Performs other duties pertaining to the pool as assigned by managers/supervisors.
Requirements
Two years previous experience as a bartender.
High school degree or equivalent preferred.
Dexterity and capability to learn entertainment pouring.
Ability to initiate and engage in conversation in a professional and friendly manner.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Minimum age of 21 years.
Flexible to work required schedules, possibly nights, weekends, holidays and overtime.
Ability to work well with co‑workers and as a team.
Willingness to participate in ongoing training in the beverage field.
Knowledge of current property events, promotions and attractions.
Physical, Mental and Environmental Demands
Work in a smoke‑filled and noisy environment and maneuver through assigned area during entire shift.
Stand for long periods of time.
L lift up to 75 pounds and manually push up to 650 pounds.
Stoop, bend and reach.
Use hand motion when preparing and pouring all types of drinks for customers and cocktail servers.
Use hand motion when cleaning and wiping bar counter.
Bend, pull and carry bar stock to refrigerators and cabinets.
Complete required paperwork for cash transactions.
Operate a variety of equipment.
Simultaneously handle the demands of many customers.
Tolerate areas containing second‑hand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
Listen and respond to visual and aural cues.
Read, write, speak and understand English.
Operate cash register, micros, two to six wheel carts, juice, soda, cutting boards, coffee and frozen drink machines, ice machine, shot glasses, mixes, pourers, blenders and knives.
What You Will Need
Seasonal bartender for pool bar area; must be available nights, weekends and holidays. Stock bar supplies, interact with guests and team members to serve and make beverages, ring up orders and execute transactions. Previous experience a plus. General bar tending duties, cleaning, stocking and keeping work area neat and professional.
