Job Description
The Massillon City School District is currently seeking passionate, innovative, and student-centered educators to join our Massillon team.

Instructional Excellence:
Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons.
Data-Driven Growth:
Use formative and summative assessments to differentiate instruction, ensuring all students reach their full potential.
Classroom Culture:
Foster a positive, structured, and nurturing classroom environment.
Collaboration:
Work closely with grade-level teams and other specialists to share best practices and student insights.
Community Connection:
Maintain proactive communication with families to build a strong home-school partnership.
Responsibilities
Understand student learning and development and respect the diversity of the students
Know and understand the content area
Understand and use varied assessments to inform instruction, evaluate, and ensure student learning
Plan and deliver effective instruction that advances the learning of each individual student
Create learning environments that promote high levels of learning and achievement for all students
Collaborate and communicate with students, parents, other educators, administrators and the community to support student learning
Assume responsibility for professional growth, performance and involvement as an individual and as a member of a learning community
Ensure the safety of students
Effectively manage the classroom
Effectively manage and operate district technology
Perform other duties as assigned by Administration
Qualifications
Hold a bachelor’s degree in education with appropriate subject area from an accredited college/university
Complete a state-approved teacher preparation program
Hold a valid and appropriate State of Ohio certification/license for the job posting
Undergo or have a current state and federal criminal background check.
Additional Working Conditions
Occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids and tissue
Frequent requirement to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, see, read, speak, reach, stretch with hands and arms, crouch, kneel, climb, and stoop
Occasionally lift, carry, push and pull various items up to a maximum of 25 pounds
Occasional evening work
Frequent repetitive hand motion, e.g., computer keyboard, calculator, writing
