New Hire Experience Compensation:

1% for two or more years of full‑time experience and an additional 1% per year, not to exceed a maximum hiring range of 5%.

New Hire Education Compensation:

1% of hourly rate for a college degree in a similar field, combined with work experience credit, not to exceed the maximum hiring range of 5%.

Work Hours (Daily M-F):

AM Shift: 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m.; PM Shift: 2:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Childcare Group Leader (Kids Express)

Job Goal:

Assist in providing quality childcare in a nurturing, safe environment using developmentally appropriate curriculum.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience working with children.

Minimum 6 months of experience required.

Ability to operate standard office equipment, including a computer and related software.

Satisfactory criminal background check.

Negative TB test required upon hire.

High School diploma, GED, or equivalent desired.

Core Job Functions:

Supervise children in the before and after school program, including play periods, meal time, field trips, bathroom, assemblies, and emergency drills.

Prepare lesson plans and instruct children with an age‑appropriate curriculum.

Develop and create bulletin boards, signs, borders, and classroom displays.

Assist students with various physical, emotional, and educational needs.

Provide guidance and direction to students regarding appropriate behavior and social skills.

Alert the supervisor to any problem or special information about a student.

Communicate with parents on the student's progress, behaviors, issues, and outcomes.

Maintain confidentiality of protected student and staff information even after employment concludes.

Be flexible and perform other duties relating to the general job function as assigned by the supervisor.

Establish and maintain a safe and healthy learning environment.

Keep educational materials, equipment, and the general room environment neat, safe, and clean.

Attend all staff training sessions, meetings, and programs.

Accept responsibility for students' well‑being and safety while they are in the employee's care.

Be alert to and report the possibility of any substance use, child abuse, or dangerous situation based on daily observation.

Operate and care for the school district's equipment properly.

Follow district policies as outlined.

Perform all duties safely and prudently as directed by supervisors.

Participate in a minimum of 18 training hours per year.

Maintain current CPR/First Aid Certification as required by the program.
