Job Description
Designation: Long Term Substitute Special Education Teacher
Location: Harrington Elementary School, North Chelmsford, Massachusetts
Assignment Dates: Immediate start- 06/04/26 (Dates are subject to change)
Responsibilities
Design, supervise and implement students’ IEP plans.
Instruct students using specialized curriculum.
Develop curriculum modifications and adaptations.
Participate in IEP team meetings.
Write effective IEPs for students.
Collect and analyze student data and monitor student progress.
Collaborate with a team of professionals (including BCBA and related service providers) to coordinate services.
Consult with general education teachers and related service providers.
Assist classroom teachers with instructional strategies to facilitate inclusion.
Write quarterly progress reports for IEP goals that are data based on student performance.
Administer various diagnostic achievement assessments to identify student capabilities as part of initial and reevaluation assessments.
Write effective evaluation reports summarizing findings and making recommendations for assigned students.
Qualifications
Hold a degree in special education from an accredited college or university.
MA DESE Teaching License—PreK–8 Moderate Special Needs license required.
Training and experience with specialized reading programs (OG, Wilson, LIPS, etc.).
Experience modifying and adapting curriculum for access.
Ability to effectively consult and work collaboratively with various service providers and support staff.
Solid organizational skills.
Experience with IEP development required.
Master’s degree preferred.
Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.

Salary: $200 to $200 Per Day
