Job Description
Elementary Teacher – Positive, dedicated individual with current knowledge of curriculum standards, strategies, and best practices in the elementary setting for a long‑term substitute position for the full 2026‑2027 school year.
Reliable, builds relationships with students, staff, and community; able to plan and present lessons to facilitate student understanding and application of curriculum at the K‑5 level.
Knowledge of elementary music, art, and Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education desired.
Open to working with students of different needs and abilities in a general education or special education setting.
Able to work closely with other teachers and maintain the organization and management of the classroom setting.
Knowledge of interventions, restorative practices, and positive behavior support strategies desired.
Meets credit requirements for long‑term substitute in the State of Michigan.
Current elementary teaching certification or enrolled in an elementary teaching certification program preferred.
