POSITION SUMMARY
The role of Plant Logistics Specialist directly supports the company’s mission to develop and deliver clean power plants that make 100% renewable energy a reality for the world. As the Plant Logistics Specialist, you will be working within the Logistics Platform team, reporting to the Supply Chain Plant Manager, the Logistics Specialist is responsible for managing and performing daily operational logistics activities.
You will work closely with the Material Management team to coordinate the material flow (reception, storage and delivery), resolve logistical issues, and maintain accurate inventory data. Your role is to ensure smooth logistics flow, provide detailed analysis of operational challenges, and support overall logistics efficiency.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Manage and execute daily logistics and transportation operations, including goods receipt, site deliveries, system transactions, and intercompany shipments.
Coordinate with the Material Management team to track deliveries, ensure timely receipt of materials, and maintain accurate supporting documentation.
Troubleshoot logistics issues by performing root‑cause analysis, implementing corrective actions, and collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Work with local forwarders to manage shipment status updates, inbound logistics activities, and required shipment or customs documentation.
Monitor weekly and monthly storage conditions for key components to support effective inventory management and space utilization.
Collect, review, and analyze logistics incident reports to identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements.
Coordinate with carriers, brokers, and forwarders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Communicate shipment and delivery status updates to production teams to ensure operational continuity.
Monitor logistics cost drivers, analyze performance data, and identify opportunities for cost optimization and process improvement.
Create commercial invoices, packing lists, and related shipping documentation.
Generate and manage SAP requisitions to support procurement and logistics workflows.
Review logistics performance with internal customers against defined targets, benchmarks, and service‑level agreements.
Maintain and update Logistics KPI reports by collecting, validating, and analyzing operational data to support data‑driven decisions.
Stay informed on emerging logistics technologies and recommend solutions to enhance process efficiency and operational performance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU HAVE
High school diploma or GED required.
3+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management or Transportation.
Knowledge of import/export regulations for different countries and compliances
Experience working with cost models and/or performing cost analysis
Knowledge of SAP is strongly preferred
Strong process focusses and data analysis
Demonstrated understanding of international and domestic transportation documentation requirements
Excellent oral, written, organization, and interpersonal l skills; strong attention to detail
Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form
Strong computer skills including advanced proficiency in Microsoft office applications (i.e.: Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Demonstrated ability/experience working in a constantly changing environment
Fluency in Spanish or German is a plus
Valid Driver’s License required.
Must be able to work in hot, cold or variable warehouse environments.
Demonstrate reliable attendance and readiness for shifts.
Flexibility to work overtime, weekends.
Ability to obtain a passport for overseas travel (as needed).

Properly use applicable safety equipment, including but not limited to eye protection, hearing protectors, steel‑toe boots, and hard hats. Loose‑fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.

Speak and understand English fluently to effectively communicate safety and job‑related information, follow safety instructions, and collaborate with English‑speaking supervisors and team members.
