
Senior HR Generalist

Pay Range: $79,723.00 - $106,306.00
The Senior HR Generalist provides high level support to the HR team and formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization. This individual plays a critical role in the areas of employee relations, data analysis, HR technology, as well as other HR related areas while working on projects related to business initiatives. The Senior HR Generalist performs this work in support of and in conjunction with the HR Business Partners while maintaining an effective level of business literacy about the business units’ position, its mid-range plans, culture and competition.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or other related discipline. or equivalent education and experience.
Working knowledge of multiple Human Resource disciplines including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, federal and state respective employment laws, etc.
Minimum 6 years of experience relating to progressively complex Human Resources related matters.
Experience building professional business partnerships.

Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization
Solid understanding of strategic and tactical business needs
Excellent organizational and project management skills
Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities

Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult and emotional issues
Ability to take initiative to identify and anticipate client needs and make recommendations for implementation

Above average proficiency in Microsoft office suite, including Excel data manipulation and ability to derive trends

SHRM certification or other professional certifications preferred
Tasks Performed
35% Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues by working directly with management, employees and collaborating with the HR Business Partner. Provide policy guidance to business line managers. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations ensuring legal, regulatory and company compliance.
30% Consult, coach and advise managers on performance management related to giving effective feedback/coaching, employee development, engagement, and retention initiatives. Assist managers with identifying performance barriers and provide recommendations aligning with best practices. Analyze effectiveness of current performance management practices and make recommendations for revisions when appropriate. Works with HR Business Partner to make recommendations for promotional opportunities, merit pay and promotional pay.
20% Collaborate with internal teams on assigned projects in support of the division’s business plan initiatives by planning, coordinating, and leading (when appropriate) project activities. Provide updates and reports to appropriate personnel. Facilitate and support training initiatives in collaboration with Talent Development team.
10% Support full cycle recruitment efforts through collaboration with Talent Acquisition team. Screen, interview and make recommendations to business partners relating to the hiring process including compensation analysis.
5% Other duties as assigned.
