Position Overview
This role will work primarily with Operations stakeholders to deliver on the Strategic Sourcing Vision and create a lower Total Cost of Ownership structure. The role also supports the development and execution of supplier management strategies.

3+ years of experience: $87,700 - $115,000
In addition to base pay and bonus eligibility, BNSF offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Travel is possible as determined by business need but typically less than 5%.
Remote Work:
Employees can work one day per week remotely.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for supplier, material, purchase, and contract transactions of $250M+ per year.
Administration of contracts, including billing and payment of materials and services.
Interfaces closely with internal stakeholders in Operations, Finance, Sourcing, Law, and BNSF Tech, as well as external suppliers and service providers.
Identify, implement and execute process improvements.
Development and execution of BNSF strategies in support of $9B sourcing supplier spend.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
Able to work now and in the future without BNSF’s assistance in obtaining, maintaining, or extending employment authorization (including H-1B, STEM OPT/CPT, or TN nonimmigrant status).
Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement or relevant experience.
Strong leadership skills and effective communication with both internal and external contacts.
Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
Business partnership and relationship skills to collaborate across groups.
Preferred Qualifications
Railroad and/or sourcing experience.
