SUMMARY OF POSITION
Front Desk Security at a residential property in downtown Los Angeles. Respond to visitors, maintain safety, handle calls, manage recordings, and assist property management staff.
The position requires onsite presence Monday through Friday. Salary ranges from $18 to $21 per hour, depending on experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Greet visitors and tenants, ensure they sign in/out and maintain a log.
Communicate with service providers as needed.
Take calls, review voicemails and create a detailed log.
Monitor and review surveillance cameras daily.
Review incidents occurring during or after work hours; document and report them to the property manager.
Maintain a neat and orderly lobby and front‑desk area.
Sort and distribute correspondence in a timely manner.
Assist the property manager with processing housing applications (collect verifications, call appointments, hand out applications or direct applicants).
Assist property‑management staff as directed by the supervisor.
Report any suspicious activity.
Review parking spaces to ensure proper vehicle placement.
Send the property manager a detailed Daily Activity Report summarizing the day’s events.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
Fluency/bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
Previous experience in property management and/or affordable housing preferred.
Experience with customer service in a demanding environment, including handling difficult or sensitive situations.
Proven ability to address difficult situations with diplomacy, tact, confidence, and calmness.
Organized, efficient, highly accurate, with strong attention to detail and follow‑through.
Ability to coordinate multiple assignments and work independently with little supervision.
Positive, innovative problem‑solving approach; present ideas clearly and negotiate effectively.
Computer literate in MS Windows and MS Office; ability to type a minimum of 45 WPM.
Strong organizational, oral, written, and customer‑service skills.
Ability to complete projects under short deadlines and work independently.
Willingness to be fingerprinted and drug tested.
Valid California Driver’s License or ID.
Completion of high school education or equivalent.
