Cyber Security Threat Capability Analyst

Pay Range:
$80.00 - $85.00
What's the Job?
Evaluate and quantify the organization’s defensive posture against sophisticated adversaries, including nation state actors, APTs, and organized cybercrime groups.
Map adversary tactics and techniques to existing defensive capabilities across domains such as endpoint security, network defenses, identity, and incident response.
Utilize structured methodologies like MITRE ATT&CK to translate threat realities into measurable readiness metrics and remediation plans.
Collaborate with offensive and purple team functions to validate coverage through adversarial simulations and identify gaps in defenses.
Create executive reports and prioritized remediation roadmaps to enhance the organization’s cybersecurity posture and compliance efforts.
What's Needed?
7+ years of experience in adversary emulation, threat detection engineering, threat modeling, or cyber defense engineering.
Proven experience using TTP-driven simulation methods to identify gaps and validate response effectiveness.
Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK aligned threat modeling methodologies and translating those into practical coverage mapping.
Understanding of control catalogs and control mapping concepts using recognized standards such as NIST, DORA, and FFIEC.
Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical findings into clear executive recommendations.
