Flexible Working
We support flexible working arrangements: hybrid model, remote or on‑site options, part‑time, compressed hours or unique arrangements that suit your lifestyle. Selected sites offer a 9‑day fortnight and flexible start/finish times with up to one day of TOIL per calendar month.

Job Description
Ultra Maritime Sonar Systems offers a two‑year graduate scheme starting in August 2026. The programme includes several placements across engineering, project management, sales, marketing and operations. You will design solutions, solve problems and develop engineering competence with the opportunity to progress towards Chartered Engineer status.

Qualifications
• Minimum 2.2 level bachelor’s degree in engineering or a STEM subject. Masters and PhD candidates are equally welcome.
• Ability to obtain SC security clearance.
• Willingness to travel between sites is useful.
• Previous work experience such as internships or placements is a bonus.

Sample Activities

Develop schematics for electronics to meet system requirements and functional interface specifications.

Select components appropriate for the application and operating environment.

Work with operations and systems teams to ensure manufacturability, reliability and maintainability of electronic equipment designs.

Progress engineering competence and work towards Chartered Engineer status during the scheme.

Receive mentoring and coaching from senior team members throughout each placement.
