Monitor and ensure operating budget is properly maintained and expenditures are justified. Counsel and assist veterans and/or their families in applying for burial benefits at a state veteran’s cemetery. Assist applicants in obtaining needed military documents from federal sources which will determine eligibility for veteran’s benefits. Supervise, manage and perform a variety of administrative tasks necessary to verify eligibility for burial, schedule and conduct burials, as well as receive federally
provided benefits for the agency, the veteran or eligibility dependent. Manage and supervise the grounds staff in burial operations, grounds maintenance, facilities maintenance and equipment maintenance.
