The Writing Consultant will support the Writing Studio by providing consultation services to student visitors and will support the studio coordinator/assistant coordinator by maintaining careful record of student interactions.
Duties include: one-on-one consultation services; supervising/checking in with independently working students; scheduling new/follow-up appointments with students; completing/verifying records of daily student interactions; developing/delivering studio workshops; and other tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Instructional experience in English or writing-related discipline.
Extensive knowledge of English grammatical structures
Demonstration of achievement in areas of English writing and analysis
Excellent communication and active listening skills
Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations.
Additional Considerations
Experience in a college writing center or college-level language support program
