Full Time or Part Time: Part Time
Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia’s capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance.

Key Responsibilities
Laboratory Instruction
Prepare and maintain lab environments.
Supervise students and ensure safety compliance.
Demonstrate surgical techniques and evaluate student performance.
Classroom Instruction
Teach Surgical Technology courses.
Develop and deliver curriculum aligned with program standards.
Assess student learning and maintain accurate records.
Clinical Coordination
Coordinate and oversee clinical placements and student experiences.
Monitor student progress toward clinical competency.
Maintain documentation and ensure quality of clinical education.
Orient and collaborate with clinical site staff.
Assign students to sites and support clinical instructors.
Program Support
Assist with accreditation and curriculum development.
Advise and mentor students.
Participate in ongoing professional development.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree in Surgical Technology or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential (NBSTSA).
Minimum of 3 years recent surgical technologist and/or teaching experience.
Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
Knowledge of curriculum and student evaluation methods.
