Sr Paralegal

As a Senior Paralegal here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will provide advanced legal support and assistance to ensure the effective management of legal affairs, including contract preparation, compliance, and risk mitigation. You will play a key role in supporting the legal team by conducting research, managing documentation, and facilitating communication between legal and business teams.

You will report directly to our IP Law department, and you’ll work out of our Deer Valley location on a Hybrid Schedule. Honeywell Aerospace requires employees to work fully onsite during the first 90 days of employment.

In this role, you will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of legal operations within Honeywell Aerospace, helping to safeguard the company’s interests and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Assist in managing patent-related legal documents to support business operations.

Facilitate invention disclosure harvesting, processing, and docketing, in coordination with internal stakeholders and patent counsel.

Manage patent evaluation committees and ensure timely dispositioning of invention disclosures.

Coordinate with internal teams and external counsel to facilitate legal processes and ensure timely resolution of legal matters.

Conduct legal research and provide analysis and recommendations to attorneys.

Draft and review legal documents, such as contracts, agreements, and pleadings.

Assist in managing case files and maintaining legal databases.

Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external parties to gather necessary information and documentation.

Support attorneys in preparing for meetings, hearings, and trials.

Qualifications

Extensive experience in intellectual property-related paralegal work within a corporate legal environment, preferably supporting aerospace or technology sectors.

Strong knowledge of United States patent procedures, docketing, and maintenance.

Proficiency in docketing tools and document management systems to efficiently support legal operations.

Experience with drafting, reviewing, and managing complex contracts and legal correspondence.

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or related field.

Minimum of 7 years of paralegal experience, preferably in aerospace or related industries.

Familiarity with regulatory compliance and risk management, including export controls, in a highly regulated environment.

Familiarity with trademark docketing and maintenance procedures.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and manage competing priorities effectively.
