Job Description
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced
HVAC Field Service Technician
to support customer sites across California. This is a
field-based service role
requiring frequent travel to customer locations throughout the state. The technician will be responsible for on-site troubleshooting, repair, preventive maintenance, startup support, and technical service for HVAC / air conditioning systems, with a strong focus on response speed, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
Coverage & Travel
This is a
field-based position , not a fully remote desk-based role.
Candidates must
reside in California .
Travel to customer sites throughout California is required.
Occasional cross-state support may be required based on business needs.
Schedule may include urgent service calls when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC / air conditioning systems at customer sites.
Restore equipment to normal operation safely and efficiently.
Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, startup, and system performance checks.
Complete service reports accurately, including symptoms, root cause, corrective actions, and parts replaced.
Communicate with internal technical support teams regarding troubleshooting, parts, escalation, and field feedback.
Provide customers with basic technical guidance and support during service visits.
Maintain strong customer relationships through professional communication and service quality.
Follow company safety requirements and standard service procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Degree, certification, or equivalent hands-on experience in HVAC, Mechanical, or Electrical.
3+ years of field service, maintenance, or repair experience in HVAC / air conditioning systems.
Strong troubleshooting and repair skills; able to work independently on customer sites.
Experience using diagnostic tools and documenting repair work clearly.
EPA 608 certification.
Valid driver’s license required.
Willingness to travel extensively within California.
Strong ownership, customer service mindset, and communication skills.
