An experienced
Forklift - Baler Operator
will play a key role in efficiently and safely moving goods and materials at our high‑traffic manufacturing facility. The role includes operating mobile equipment, scanning inventory, handling shrink wrap machines, and preparing shipments for transport.
This full‑time position reports directly to a Manufacturing Supervisor and is located at our
Brooklyn Park , Minnesota manufacturing facility.
Duties and Responsibilities
Safely operate mobile equipment such as forklifts, lift trucks, hoists, or other material handling equipment in a high‑traffic industrial environment.
Accurately utilize an electronic scanning system, including a touch screen monitor located on the forklift, to track inventory levels and product location.
Responsible for regularly completing pre‑operation inspection and reporting equipment faults or damages to leadership or maintenance.
Prepare shipments for transport, consolidate partial pallets, and operate the shrink wrap machine as needed.
Move product and/or materials throughout the facility, including loading and unloading trailers.
Follow safety regulations and company guidelines.
Other duties, as assigned.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills
High School diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution and 1+ year experience operating mobile equipment or comparable experience in place of education.
Previous experience with computer skills such as typing, printing, and data entry.
Previous experience applying math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Previous experience reading, following, and/or completing detailed work instructions.
Must be available to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills
Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks.
Knowledge of distribution documentation: pick lists, packing slips, and bills of lading.
Knowledge of warehouse organization, workflow as well as basic inventory control (i.e.: Amtech).
Previous experience with reading a tape measure.
Compensation & Benefits
The starting pay rate for this position is $22.77 per hour. The compensation posted is the anticipated pay for the position at the time of the posting. We may pay above or below posted amount based on several factors, including, but not limited to education and/or certifications, skills, experience, or work location. Some positions may qualify for additional compensation in the form of bonuses.
