POSITION TITLE
Buildings and Grounds Maintenance
SUMMARY
Perform preventative maintenance such as cleaning, greasing machines, and regular inspections.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Practice safe work habits at all times.
Lubricate corrugating equipment on a daily basis.
Use various specialized machinery and safety equipment such as ladders, boom or scissor lifts to access high areas.
Ensure the grounds and facility are clean and professional at all times.
Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
Requisition supplies or equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
Follow up on all work to ensure repairs and tasks are performed properly.
Assist with building maintenance such as painting, concrete patching, light bulb replacements, and minor plumbing.
Complete all paperwork neatly, correctly, and in accordance with company guidelines.
Willingly work all necessary hours and shifts.
Help maintain good housekeeping in work areas.
Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
Additional duties may be assigned by management.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED.
Provide own tools necessary to perform maintenance tasks.
CANDIDATES ARE PREFERRED
Prior work experience in the corrugated industry.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Able to read and follow instructions on factory masters.
MATH SKILLS
Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.
Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurements, volume, and rate.
Applied high‑school math concepts.
REASONING ABILITY
Apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form.
Deal with problems involving one or more concrete variables in standardized situations.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Knowledge of equipment design and capabilities that can be translated into efficient operation.
Understanding of product layouts and production specifications.
Familiarity with product quality specifications.
Awareness of quality standards.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Maintain a current Lift Truck Operator License and/or other appropriate certification to work in certain areas or on certain equipment.
