Starting pay up to $16.00 - $25.00 based on experience.
Avancer Homes LLC is looking for Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to join our team specifically at the Persimmon CILA home, located in Genoa, Illinois. This position is ideal for candidates who are looking to gain experience in a behavioral health field or for individuals with a passion for serving others. As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide personal assistance to individuals who need help with daily living. Those we serve have profound to mild developmental or intellectual disabilities. As a DSP you will work with other dedicated professionals to promote growth in all areas of needs.
Our agency provides in‑home care to persons served in eighteen residential homes across Ogle and DeKalb County. We are in a place of rapid growth and are excited to connect with like-minded individuals who want to make positive changes in the lives of others.

Direct Support Professional (DSP) Requirements
DSP certified or ability to become certified through paid training
At least 18 years of age
Transportation to shifts
Lift 50 lbs
Pass a criminal background check
Direct Support Professional (DSP) Duties
Assist individuals with personal care needs – all ADLs
Assist with all household tasks, including meal preparation, cooking and cleaning; maintain a safe and healthy home environment that encourages learning.
Monitor individuals and engage in redirection.
Document individual’s activities, concerns and progress notes as required.
Participate in out‑of‑home activities which may include driving company vehicles.
Provide an abuse and neglect free environment at all times.
