We are a growing electrical company seeking a detail‑oriented and organized Permitting Coordinator to manage and oversee the permitting process for our projects across multiple states. This role is responsible for preparing, submitting, and tracking electrical permit applications while ensuring compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. The ideal candidate is proactive, communicative, and experienced in handling multiple projects and jurisdictional requirements simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and submit electrical permit applications to appropriate agencies across multiple states and jurisdictions
Track and monitor permit status to ensure timely approvals
Communicate with municipalities, inspectors, utility providers, and internal teams
Review project plans and documents for compliance with electrical codes and permitting requirements
Maintain accurate records of permits, approvals, and related documentation
Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders
Resolve permitting issues and delays efficiently
Stay updated on electrical permitting requirements, zoning laws, codes, and regulatory changes across multiple states
Qualifications
Previous experience in permitting, construction administration, or a related field preferred
Strong knowledge of permitting processes, municipal requirements, and building codes (electrical permitting experience preferred)
Excellent organizational and time‑management skills
Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment
Preferred Skills
Experience in the electrical, construction, or utility industry
Familiarity with permitting software or project management tools
Ability to read and interpret construction and electrical plans
Being a Notary Public is a plus
