We're partnering with a well‑established, employee‑owned organization in the life safety and security space to hire an Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead their small team (3 direct reports). This is a leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, mentoring a team, and being part of a company that truly cares about its mission and people.
As the AP Supervisor, you'll oversee day‑to‑day AP operations, lead and mentor a small team, and ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments. You'll also collaborate cross‑functionally, support year‑end activities, and help improve processes and controls.
Key Responsibilities
Supervising and coaching the Accounts Payable team
Reviewing and processing invoices, resolving discrepancies
Managing payments via check, ACH, and credit card
Supporting vendor relationships and internal stakeholders
Ensuring compliance (including 1099s) and internal controls
Identifying and driving AP process improvements
Assisting with year‑end close and reporting as needed
What They're Looking For
5+ years of Accounts Payable experience (full‑cycle)
1-2+ years of prior supervisory experience (required)
Strong understanding of AP workflows and internal controls
Advanced Excel skills and MS Office proficiency
Detail‑oriented, organized, proactive, and collaborative
Comfortable working on‑site in Golden Valley
Schedule & Details
Typical hours: 7:30am-4:00pm (30‑minute lunch)
Flexible schedules available (e.g., 6:30-3:30, 7-4, 8-5)
Direct Hire
Salary range: $70,000-$75,000 annually
