Job Summary
The SDRC Assistive Technology (AT) Coordinator manages the AT Lab to ensure accessible university programs and services for students with disabilities. This role oversees all assistive technology equipment and software licenses, develops and maintains SDRC online resources, and promotes their effective use among students, prospective students, and faculty. The coordinator provides instruction through group presentations and individual support, serves as a subject matter resource for assistive technologies, and leads the development and testing of SDRC digital content, including websites and videos. Additionally, the role includes supervising, training, and providing technical guidance to student staff and volunteers supporting AT services.
Primary Job Duties
Provides digital accessibility training (including but not limited to USC websites, Word Documents, PDF files, and PowerPoint files) related to Universal Design.
Maintains SDRC website and ensures the content is accessible. Provides training and technical assistance for students, faculty, and staff to facilitate accessibility of information.
Provides training to students, faculty, and staff on AT equipment. Oversees AT equipment in working order with up-to-date licensing.
Assists Testing Coordinators on accessible software updates.
Proctor exams as needed to support students and ensures appropriate accommodations are provided during testing.

Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of capabilities, programming techniques, and intricacies of information systems.
Knowledge of computer languages.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely. Ability to work effectively with users, vendors, and other IT personnel.
Ability to plan, direct, instruct, and review the work of technical personnel on a small scale.
Ability to provide status reports and other technical reports in a clear and concise manner.
Preferred Qualifications
Pending graduates who will obtain their degree by the date of employment.
