As an Assistive Technology Specialist, you'll partner with educational professionals in a contract position focused on evaluating and addressing diverse assistive tech needs. Working closely with specialized programs like the LEEP Program, you'll help ensure every student has access to the tools they need to thrive.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

Solid background in assistive technology, with hands-on experience assessing needs and implementing solutions for students.
Familiarity with current hardware and software used in educational assistive technology, including speech-to-text, alternative access devices, and communication tools.
Excellent interpersonal skills for collaborating with educators, students, and families.
Ability to gather detailed information about student needs, document findings, and recommend effective, individualized strategies.
Experience working within multidisciplinary teams is valued.
Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough assessments to identify assistive technology needs for students in a variety of learning environments.
Collaborate with programs such as the LEEP Program and stay connected with specialists including Logan Rausch and Syd Logan to support student success.
Develop and deliver training for staff and families on implementing assistive technology.
Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and updates on technology and best practices.
Document evaluations, interventions, and progress to track student outcomes and compliance.
