Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Background in assistive technology or special education, with a strong understanding of a variety of assistive devices and software
Direct experience conducting needs assessments, implementing technology plans, or supporting students in a school environment
Familiarity with the LEEP Program or similar educational support initiatives is highly valued
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building positive relationships with students, staff, and families
Comfort working in collaborative teams-coordination with key staff including professionals like Logan Rausch and Syd Logan is essential
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, especially when gathering information to tailor solutions to individual student needs
Responsibilities:
Evaluate student needs and recommend appropriate assistive technology solutions to facilitate access to curriculum and learning materials
Train teachers, support staff, and families in the effective use of assistive devices and software
Maintain thorough records, gathering information and documenting technology use and student progress
Support the LEEP Program and serve as a liaison between educators, technology staff, and outside consultants
Communicate regularly with team members, looping in relevant professionals as necessary to ensure the highest standard of support
