ERTS Weekend Dispatcher

Clean Harbors is seeking an on‑site ERTS dispatcher in

Norwell, MA or Jacksonville, FL

to organize and coordinate daily activities of dispatching employees and equipment across multiple locations within the organization. The dispatcher will coordinate incoming customer requests, ensuring proper manpower and equipment is dispatched to provide excellent and on‑time customer service, and maintain effective communication between all personnel and equipment required to serve customers.

This is a 12‑hour shift position on Saturday and Sunday only. Two shifts are available: 6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m.

Responsibilities

Complete regulatory reporting on shift.

Provide day‑to‑day environmental support to open projects to ensure compliance with environmental policies, requirements, and procedures.

Serve as a technical supervisor on matters relating to environmental spills.

Oversee projects through all phases of spill response, working directly with clients to ensure timely, successful spill cleanup, regulatory compliance, and client satisfaction with cost effectiveness in mind.

Dispatch contractors for excavation, transportation, and disposal of products.

Oversee contractors in the field to determine sources and methods of controlling pollutants in air, water, and soil.

Accurately log information from client interactions into ALERT systems; update in a timely and accurate manner so that clients can track services, inquiries, and resolution.

Communicate effectively with contractors, clients, regulatory officials, etc., through written and verbal communication.

Return all internal and external calls, emails and facsimiles promptly to ensure customers’ concerns are understood, addressed, and resolved efficiently.

Maintain professional competency in all aspects of the job.

Perform other job‑related duties as required.

Qualifications

Dispatch, customer service experience.

Working knowledge of OSHA, RCRA, DOT regulations or ability to develop such knowledge.

Strong time‑management, attention to detail, organizational, and project‑management skills.

Team player who works toward common departmental goals.

Data entry skills and excellent written and verbal communication.

Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft applications and ERTS software.

Ability to handle high call volume in a fast‑paced emergency response environment.

Effective communicator with clients, employees, and outside professionals.

Able to orchestrate large data volumes while meeting critical deadlines.

Exemplify professionalism in personal appearance and demeanor.

Dispatcher will work 12‑hour shifts.
