Position Overview
The Financial Controller/Senior Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing the company's financial planning, reporting, and analysis functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting, experience with NetSuite.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the financial accounting and reporting functions, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
Develop and maintain cost accounting systems to accurately track and analyze production costs and profitability.
Prepare and present financial reports, including budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to senior management.
Implement financial controls and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy in reporting.
Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic planning and decision-making.
Maintain and enhance the functionality of the NetSuite ERP system to support financial management and reporting.
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering professional development and growth within the team.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
CPA certification is required.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on cost accounting in a manufacturing setting.
Proficiency in NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
