Responsibilities
Operate on‑road equipment, including operating a dump truck and/or tractor trailer.
Operate heavy equipment such as backhoe, skid steer, excavator, and other various heavy equipment.
Concrete repair and maintenance.
Traffic Control (MUTCD) and safety procedures.
Knowledge and use of data entry systems such as VueWorks and/or work order management systems.
Capability to step into a leadership role when needed, ensuring work is completed efficiently and safely.
Train new crew members and monitor performance.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED.
Three (3) years of experience in operation of motorized equipment or construction equipment.
Possession of a CDL Class A with a Tank Endorsement; Operations of a hydro‑mulch vehicle, water truck, and/or vactor as required.
Preferred Qualifications
1 year of concrete maintenance experience.
Traffic Control (MUTCD) and safety procedures.
Bilingual in Spanish and English.
Working Conditions
Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically require touching, talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, walking, repetitive motions, climbing, balancing, pushing, pulling and lifting. Incumbents may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, odors, dusts, poor ventilation, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, intense noises, gases, vibrations, and workspace restrictions.
Physical Demands
Heavy Work — Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly, having to move objects. Working in extreme heat and cold and inclement weather.
