Position Overview
The Operations Assistant supports the Operations Coordinator in daily operational tasks, with a primary focus on material ordering, inventory management, and job cost data entry. This role is critical to ensuring field teams have the materials they need, inventory is properly tracked and cared for, and job costing information is accurate and up to date. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and takes ownership of their responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Assist with ordering plant material, hard goods, and job-related materials
Track and maintain inventory levels of hard goods and supplies
Communicate with vendors to confirm pricing, availability, and delivery timelines
Enter job costing information accurately into company systems (Aspire)
Assist in tracking materials and costs associated with jobs
Verify materials received and report any discrepancies
Maintain organized records of orders, inventory, and job cost data
Support coordination between field teams and the office
Assist with general operational tasks as needed
Performance Expectations
Accurate and timely ordering of materials
Organized and up-to-date inventory tracking
Complete and accurate job costing data entry
Strong communication with operations team and vendors
High attention to detail with minimal errors
Requirements
Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in landscaping, construction, or a related field
Strong organizational and time management skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
Strong communication skills
Proficiency with computers and ability to learn company systems (Aspire)
Self‑motivated with a high level of accountability
Preferred (Not Required)
Experience with inventory management or purchasing
Familiarity with landscape materials and plant materials
Experience with job costing or project tracking
Experience working in a fast‑paced service environment
