What We’re Looking For:
Licensed in Illinois (Active and in good standing). Admission in surrounding states (MO or IN) is a plus.
1–5 years of experience
in civil defense litigation, with a focus on:
Drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery
Taking and defending depositions
Conducting legal research and case analysis
Communicating with clients and/or insurance carriers
Strong writing and advocacy skills
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Team player with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
Experience with mediations/arbitrations is a plus but not required
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a robust caseload with a focus on toxic tort (asbestos) defense
Handle cases from inception through resolution or trial in collaboration with partners
Participate in depositions, court appearances, and more
Contribute to strategy discussions and case planning
Be part of a national network of trial‑tested attorneys committed to excellence
Compensation & Benefits:
Base Salary:
$95,000 – $140,000 (commensurate with experience)
