Summary
Performance Management is seeking a technically strong and analytically driven professional to support operational and financial intelligence across vehicle logistics, port operations, and affiliated transportation networks. This role focuses on analyzing operational performance, improving data infrastructure, and developing analytical models that support cost optimization, throughput efficiency, and financial visibility. The Assistant Manager will work at the intersection of logistics operations, data analytics, and financial performance management. Responsibilities include developing operational analytics datasets, automating data workflows, performing cost and profitability analysis, and supporting predictive models related to capacity, delivery performance, and operational efficiency. Success in this role requires a strong understanding of logistics processes, financial performance metrics, and data‑driven decision making within complex operational environments.
Responsibilities
Analyze operational and financial performance across logistics networks, including vehicle throughput, route efficiency, port processing capacity, and cost per unit metrics
Develop and maintain analytical datasets that support operational performance monitoring, financial analysis, and forecasting
Perform cost analysis and profitability assessments across routes, carriers, ports, and logistics operations
Identify operational inefficiencies through trend analysis, variance analysis, and root cause investigations using operational and financial datasets
Design and implement predictive models that support forecasting of operational metrics such as delivery lead times, capacity constraints, and cost trends
Develop automated workflows and scripts that streamline operational reporting and reduce manual data processing
Build analytical frameworks that support decision making related to logistics network optimization, resource allocation, and operational planning
Integrate operational data from enterprise systems, transportation platforms, and financial systems to support cross‑functional analysis
Partner with operations, finance, and business leadership to translate analytical findings into actionable operational improvements
Support development of operational performance metrics and KPI frameworks used to evaluate logistics efficiency and financial performance
Conduct scenario modeling and sensitivity analysis to evaluate potential operational or cost impacts of business decisions
Ensure analytical outputs align with data governance standards and maintain documentation for data pipelines, analytical models, and operational metrics
Develop analytical models to evaluate network efficiency, including route performance, carrier utilization, and vehicle transport capacity across logistics operations
Build scenario analysis tools that support operational planning decisions, including carrier selection, routing strategies, and capacity allocation
Design analytical frameworks to monitor cost drivers across logistics operations, including fuel surcharges, carrier rates, dwell times, and handling costs
Partner with finance teams to analyze unit economics and contribution margins across operational workflows and logistics programs
Develop monitoring processes that identify operational anomalies, data inconsistencies, or unexpected cost fluctuations within logistics datasets
Support development of operational forecasting models used for capacity planning, workforce allocation, and demand projections
Evaluate operational system outputs and data quality across enterprise platforms to ensure reliable and consistent analytics inputs
Support implementation of continuous improvement initiatives by measuring operational performance before and after process changes
Support executive and leadership reporting related to logistics performance, operational efficiency, and financial outcomes
Assist with development of operational benchmarking metrics across ports, routes, and logistics networks
Participate in cross‑functional initiatives related to cost optimization, operational improvements, and business performance reviews
Provide analytical support for operational planning, budgeting, and performance forecasting initiatives
Assist with evaluation and implementation of new analytics tools, automation technologies, or operational data platforms
Collaborate with IT and data teams to improve integration between operational systems and analytics environments
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving operational productivity and financial performance
Support documentation of analytical methodologies, operational metrics definitions, and system data flows
Conduct industry benchmarking and research related to logistics operations and supply chain performance metrics
Assist with development of logistics performance scorecards used by operational leadership to evaluate facility, route, and carrier performance
Support operational planning initiatives by preparing scenario models and analytical simulations that evaluate potential business decisions
Participate in cross‑functional initiatives aimed at improving data accessibility and reporting standardization across departments
Assist with development of data quality monitoring procedures to improve reliability of operational and financial reporting
Provide analytical input to support budget planning, operational forecasts, and financial performance reviews
Contribute to development of internal analytics standards, documentation, and best practices to improve consistency across analytical projects

Compensation Range
$86,000 – $96,000 Per Year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)
