Job Summary
The Automation Foreman will inspect, test, adjust and repair new or existing electric, electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic automation devices, and systems. It will also diagnose the cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and perform preventative and corrective maintenance. Automation Foreman runs and manages multiple jobs and crews will also be responsible for coaching and mentoring other automation technicians.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Customer Relations

Representation of MPBAS with the customer during a construction project.

Communicate project status and resolve issues with PM.

Maintaining customer relationships.

Project Responsibilities

Responsible for the financial success of all assigned construction projects.

Reviewing project submittals and bill of materials for accuracy.

Maintain project schedules.

Technical support for installers.

Provide thorough verbal and written documentation.

Coordinate with Project Managers for design changes, graphics, and programs.

Maintaining project forecasting manpower requirements.

Attend construction meetings and represent MPBAS.

Maintaining company installation standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably Electrical or Mechanical) or equivalent field experience.

8 + years of direct automation experience with control systems and programming required.

Working knowledge of at least three HVAC control systems (preferably Delta, JCI or Andover)

Ability to interface with customers at a supervisory and management level.

Engineering skills required include electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and computer programming knowledge.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Experience with control system architecture design, programming, or maintenance desired.

Good computer skills and understanding of controls networking.

A valid driver’s license.

Geographic Disclosure
Compensation: $61.40 Per Hour.

The hourly rate is determined by the CBA/rate sheet and test results. Benefits are provided through local labor union aligned with collective bargaining agreement.
