POSITION OVERVIEW
Links Technology is actively placing Senior Project Managers to lead large-scale SAP ECC to S/4HANA conversion programs for enterprise clients across manufacturing, healthcare, finance, and public sector. The ideal candidate combines deep SAP program delivery experience with hands‑on Agile (SAP Activate) methodology expertise and a working knowledge of SAP Intelligent RPA / bot automation — ensuring that process automation opportunities are identified, scoped, and executed in parallel with the S/4HANA conversion program.

This is a high‑visibility, senior individual contributor / program leadership role. You will work directly with client C‑suite sponsors, SAP functional leads, BASIS teams, and RPA developers to deliver a clean, on‑time, on‑budget transformation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
SAP ECC to S/4HANA Conversion Program Management

Own end-to-end program delivery for SAP ECC to S/4HANA conversion — Brownfield, Greenfield, or BLUEFIELD approach based on client landscape.

Lead Fit‑to‑Standard workshops and Readiness Assessments to evaluate custom code, data volumes, and integration complexity.

Drive the migration strategy across key workstreams: Finance (FI/CO), Supply Chain (MM/SD/PP), Master Data Governance (MDG), and BASIS/Technical.

Manage SAP Migration Cockpit and data migration objects, coordinating with functional consultants and data teams on cutover execution.

Oversee parallel workstreams: custom code remediation (ABAP), integration redesign (BAPIs, IDOCs, APIs), and SAP Fiori deployment.

Maintain RAID logs, project governance documentation, status dashboards, and executive steering committee reporting.

Coordinate System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regression cycles, and go‑live hypercare.

Manage third‑party vendors, SAP support engagement (OSS notes), and system integrators throughout the program.

Agile Delivery (SAP Activate Methodology)

Apply SAP Activate methodology — Discover, Prepare, Explore, Realize, Deploy, Run — across all project phases.

Run Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog grooming with cross‑functional teams.

Manage the product backlog in Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent tooling, maintaining transparency across stakeholders.

Balance Agile sprint delivery with traditional waterfall governance requirements typical in large ERP programs.

Coach client teams on Agile best practices and SAP Activate frameworks where maturity gaps exist.

Track velocity, burn‑down, and sprint health metrics; elevate blockers and adjust capacity planning accordingly.

SAP Intelligent RPA / Bot Automation

Identify and prioritize process automation opportunities running in parallel with the S/4HANA conversion — particularly for data migration, reconciliation, and post‑go‑live operations.

Collaborate with SAP Intelligent RPA developers on bot design, build, test, and deployment using SAP Build / Cloud Factory.

Oversee automation of repetitive ECC‑to‑S/4HANA data validation tasks (GL account mapping, material master reconciliation, vendor/customer data cleanup) using bots.

Ensure bot stability post‑conversion by aligning automation scripts with S/4HANA's clean core architecture and SAP Fiori transaction equivalents.

Evaluate SAP Build Process Automation, UiPath, and/or Blue Prism as complementary tools where client environments require it.

Maintain automation runbooks, bot performance dashboards, and incident response procedures.

Stakeholder Management & Communication

Serve as the primary point of contact for executive sponsors, IT leadership, and business process owners.

Translate complex technical migration risks into business‑impact language for non‑technical audiences.

Facilitate change management activities — training plans, communication strategies, and user readiness assessments.

Produce weekly/monthly executive status reports, milestone trackers, and budget‑vs‑actual analysis.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
SAP Program Delivery

8+ years of IT project/program management experience, with a minimum of 3 full‑cycle SAP ERP implementations or conversions.

Demonstrated hands‑on experience with SAP ECC 6.0 and at least one completed SAP S/4HANA conversion (Brownfield or Greenfield).

Deep familiarity with SAP Activate methodology and SAP Best Practices content for S/4HANA.

Working knowledge of core SAP modules: FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, and/or MDG.

Experience managing data migration using SAP Migration Cockpit, LSMW, or LTMC/LTMOM.

Understanding of SAP BASIS activities relevant to project milestones (kernel upgrades, SUM tool, SPDD/SPAU, transport management).

Agile / Hybrid Delivery

Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Agilist, PMI‑ACP, or equivalent Agile certification.

PMP or PRINCE2 certification strongly preferred for governance compliance on enterprise programs.

Proficiency with Agile project tooling: Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, or SAP Focused Build.

RPA / Automation

Working familiarity with SAP Intelligent RPA, SAP Build Process Automation, or equivalent RPA platform (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism).

Ability to define bot scope, review automation design documents, and manage RPA delivery teams — hands‑on development experience a plus.

Experience automating SAP‑adjacent processes: report extraction, data validation, mass upload routines, or post‑migration reconciliation.

Core Skills

Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills — written and verbal.

Strong risk management discipline: risk identification, RAID log maintenance, escalation protocols.

Budget management experience on programs $1M+.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field. MBA a plus.

PREFERRED / NICE-TO-HAVE

Experience with SAP MDG (Master Data Governance) integration during S/4HANA conversion.

Familiarity with SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) and integration middleware (SAP Integration Suite / CPI).

Exposure to SAP Readiness Check, Simplification List, and Custom Code Analysis tools.

Experience with clean core strategy — extension model via SAP BTP Side‑by‑Side.

Background in manufacturing, healthcare, financial services, or public sector SAP environments.

Experience with hyperautomation concepts — combining RPA, process mining (SAP Signavio), and AI‑driven automation.
