Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with all team members, including but not limited to special educators, instructional coaches, paraprofessionals, interventionists, and other support personnel.
Support students in using technological tools, including Chromebooks, and Google Docs.
Incorporate a variety of assessment strategies, including district-wide exams and formative assessment, to inform instruction and target intervention and enrichment needs.
Integrate social learning into the classroom to foster a safe, caring, and active learning community.
Partner with families and include them in the students’ learning and development, and encourage families to further the mission of the school.
Build on established partnerships with surrounding community institutions and organizations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
Massachusetts teacher certification/licensure required.
Recent successful experience teaching middle school in a student-centered classroom with inquiry‑based methodologies in an urban, multicultural setting.
A love for children and a desire to work with upper school students.
