POSITION OVERVIEW
Instructs and facilitates students’ learning in accordance with corporation policies and state guidelines, promoting intellectual, social, and physical growth and teaching essential skills for responsible adulthood.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach corporation‑approved curriculum while creating a conducive learning environment appropriate to student maturity and interests.
Assist administration in implementing policies governing student life and conduct; develop and convey classroom rules and maintain a safe environment.
Meet and instruct assigned classes in designated locations and times.
Employ varied instructional techniques, media, and assessments to guide learning toward academic achievement and curriculum goals.
Establish clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects and communicate them to students.
Regularly assess student accomplishments and provide progress reports.
Maintain accurate, complete records required by law and policy.
Administer and analyze standardized testing data, adjusting instruction to maximize student success.
Recognize special needs of students with learning disabilities, seek assistance from specialists, and provide individualized accommodations as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
Valid Indiana teaching certificate in the appropriate grade level and area of study.
