Overview
The Staff Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of financial data and supporting the day-to-day operations of the Finance department. This role bridges meticulous transactional oversight, specifically in Accounts Payable and Cash Management, with essential month-end reporting and internal stakeholder support.
Responsibilities
Accounting Payable and Vendor Management
Verify, code, and process vendor invoices and employee expenses with high accuracy in the ERP system.
Prepare weekly and ad-hoc vendor payment runs; ensure all cash disbursements are accurately applied against outstanding liabilities.
Perform regular vendor statement reconciliation to ensure ledger accuracy. Act as the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries, resolving billing and payment discrepancies in a timely manner.
Cash Receipt Management and Banking
Monitor daily bank activities and apply cash receipts against client billings, commission receivable, and other inflows.
Prepare comprehensive monthly bank reconciliation to ensure alignment between bank statements and the general ledger.
Support the Venue Sourcing team in monitoring hotel commission receipts and facilitate timely disbursement to clients.
Month-End Closing and Financial Reporting
Prepare and record month-end accruals and adjustments as directed by the Assistant Controller and Senior Accountant.
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and conduct month-to-month variation analysis to identify and explain fluctuations.
Support the Assistant Controller in the preparation and review of regional financial statements.
Finance Operation and Administrative
Support the supplier onboarding process and maintain integrity within the SAP vendor master data.
Assist in monitoring finance-related inboxes, provide troubleshooting support for Concur Expense and Concur Invoice, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies.
Assist in managing banking platform access and user permission.
Ad Hoc and Strategic Supports
Build strong relationships with Event Delivery, Client Services, and FP&A to provide seamless financial support.
Support the Assistant Controller in annual financial audits, and assist with external regulatory filings as required.
Raise and escalate potential concerns and successes to the Assistant Controller and leadership regularly.
Handle ad hoc requests from the business as and when required.
Qualifications
Experience using enterprise-level accounting software and finance tools, such as SAP, Oracle, and Concur is highly desirable.
Strong foundation in GAAP with ability to apply matching principles and accrual accounting correctly.
Understanding of account payable lifecycle, including vendor master data management, 3-way matching, and strategic payment term optimization.
Strong attention to detail, ensuring the highest level of accuracy in data entry and financial documentation.
Ability to analyze financial data and perform key balance sheet reconciliations.
Understanding of relevant tax regulations and compliance requirements, including sales & use tax.
High level of proficiency in MS Excel, including advanced functions (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) to manipulate and analyze large datasets.

Compensation
United States Residents: The base pay for this position ranges from $77,700 - $89,400. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
