Description
As one of our Automated Equipment Line Operators, you will be responsible for operating automated equipment for the packaging of agricultural products throughout the facility and is responsible for ensuring optimum quality products through the operation of the automated equipment line.
Job Responsibilities
Operate, troubleshoot, and service the computerized systems and robotic devices that are designed to reduce human interaction, such as robotic assembly devices for packaging equipment
Perform routine diagnostic checks/monitor automated systems, isolate problems, and perform repairs. May require troubleshooting over the phone with an offsite technician
Complete all required documentation and scheduled quality checks
Monitor weights and quality of seals, caps, labels, and general packaging of product.
Efficient changeovers to centerlines of equipment
Collect required samples needed to verify no cross contamination.
Proficient use of various instruments and hand tools
Use of production software to maximize uptime and reduce breakdowns in the manufacturing process
General housekeeping and adherence to the 5S standards
Safety Training and general safety awareness including the use of PPE
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, programmable logic controllers, electrical machinery, and human machine interfaces
Good math and analytic skills
2-3 years’ experience in manufacturing/ production environment
Can lift 30-50 pounds comfortably on a regular basis
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Must be able to meet the overtime requirements during seasonal work
Strong communication skills
Can work independently when needed, while also a solid team player
Ability to drive a forklift
Ability to pass background check and drug screening
This is a safety sensitive position.
